Our Vision​

To make a positive difference in the lives of children, youth, and families, and programs associated with CPRI.

Our Mission

The Volunteer Organization of CPRI is a not-for-profit registered charity that strives to support individual needs of the children, youth, families, and programs of CPRI by contributing funds for equipment, special projects, education, and research, and by fostering new funding resources, community partnerships, and positive relationships with our donors and CPRI volunteers.

Our Values

The Volunteer Organization of CPRI believes in being sensitive and compassionate to the needs of those we serve by being accountable and accessible to our donors, members, and CPRI stakeholders through our daily operations and projects. We provide excellent services to CPRI stakeholders in being open, respectful, and responsible in decision-making processes. Through new and existing fundraising initiatives/projects, we are able to support the special needs of CPRI's stakeholders in a timely and cooperative manner.

Board of Directors

VOCPRI is governed by a Board of Directors. They are responsible for making decisions regarding policy development, fund-raising initiatives, disbursement of funds and recruitment of Board and General Members. The current slate of officers is:

Sue Conning

President, Sue Conning

Sue worked in the Clinical Records Department at CPRI from 1983 – 2009 and was the CPRI computer trainer from 1998 -2015. She has been an active member of VOCPRI since her retirement and has held the position of President of the Board of Directors since November 2010.

Lianne Notarandrea

Secretary, Lianne Notarandrea

Lianne worked with children during most of her career at CPRI from 1979 to 2016.  She was an Assistance Supervisor for many years and was fondly known as “Tinkerbell”.

Lianne has been a member of Operation Bookmark (an annual fundraiser) and a board member of VOCPRI since her retirement, and currently holds the position of Secretary.

Cathy Vandierendonck

Member At Large, Cathy Vandierendonck

Cathy started her volunteer journey in 1988 as a receptionist in the out patient waiting room. Soon after she joined the VOCPRI board and served as president for many years. For the past 27 years she has volunteer as chairperson for Operation Bookmark, an annual fundraiser. Cathy graduated as a Registered X-ray Technologist from Victoria Hospital and later from Fanshawe College as a Personal Support Worker.

Michelle Langdon

CPRI Staff Liaison, Michelle Langdon

Michelle began her journey at CPRI in 2005, working directly on the inpatient units. Over the years, she has held a variety of roles, gaining valuable experience across the organization. Today, Michelle works as a Data Planning Analyst in the Education and Learning Services Department, and since 2018, she has proudly supported VOCPRI as the Staff Liaison. Michelle finds deep meaning in this work, helping to drive initiatives that make a lasting impact on children, youth, and families.

Thomas Ketelaars

CPRI Manager Liaison, Thomas Ketelaars

Tom has been part of the CPRI team since 2006, beginning his career on the inpatient units. He later transitioned into a Data Planning Analyst role before stepping into management. Part of Tom’s role includes serving as the VOCPRI Manager Liaison, where he finds deep fulfillment in supporting initiatives that make a meaningful impact on children, youth, and families.

Julian

Julian Cantor Castillo, Social Media Coordinator

Julian started as a volunteer at the 2024 annual book sale and now helps develop and manage VOCPRI’s social media pages to improve its online visibility. He holds a degree in international business and enjoys contributing to projects that support and serve others.

Member at Large, Susan Heatherly

Susan Heatherly was a teacher at Madeline Hardy Public School on the grounds of CPRI working with the residential clients. After 30 years, she retired in June of 2018 and joined VOCPRI this past year. Susan is also a volunteer with the London Middlesex Civitan Club and has a cake decorating business.

CPRI’s mandate is to serve the families of Ontario who have exhausted their local resources in trying to support their child’s mental health or developmental disability.  Most arrive desperate for help, feeling isolated from anyone that understands, and alone in their difficulties.  The support that VOCPRI provides challenges this narrative for families.  Repeatedly, VOCPRI has been willing to meet families where they are at and creatively problem solve practical needs.  In doing this, they elevate stress for families and remind them that they aren’t walking alone—if just for a moment.  This is the power of VOCPRI.
